Meet Donovan G. Newkirk, Esq.

Donovan G. Newkirk, Esq., is a licensed attorney specializing in federal taxation law, intellectual property law, and business formation.
Mr. Newkirk is currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree in Taxation Law at Georgetown University Law Center. As a candidate in the Taxation LL.M. program, he took part in an externship at KPMG, LLP, in its State and Local Taxation Department at its Washington National Tax Office. He received his juris doctorate from Liberty University School of Law. While in law school, he served as the president of Liberty University School of Law’s Intellectual Property Clinic, a Site Coordinator for Liberty University’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, and a research assistant for a distinguished professor of Constitutional Law.
Mr. Newkirk is authorized to represent clients before the United States Tax Court, the Internal Revenue Service, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Supreme Court of Virginia and all inferior courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
He authored The War on Terror: How Lawyers Have Kept America Safe, a piece that explores the various actions taken by governmental attorneys in the Bush Administration following the terrorist attacks of 2001.
Mr. Newkirk is a passionate advocate for his clients. He is a husband, and he is a father to three incredible children.
